On This Day: The Office Ended 6 Years Ago

From Kevin dropping his chili to "that's what she said jokes," it all eventually came to an end!

TV show The Office first debuted on NBC on March 24th, 2005. The show ran for a successful 9 seasons until it ended on this day, May 16, 2013.

What made this show unique was it's documentary style take on it's characters. It followed the stories of ordinary people working at a paper company called Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, Inc. 

In it, the show gave classic scenes like Hardcore Parkour and Michael Scott's Man vs Wild! 

As of late, The Office is Netflix's most watched show. However, Netflix is in a streaming rights battle with NBCUniversal over the show.

NBCUniversal plans to launch its own streaming service in 2020.
