NFL free agency is underway as scheduled, and the Las Vegas Raiders are signing a new quarterback. No, not that one.

Former Tennessee Titan Marcus Mariota is trading in whatever weird shade of blue they wear in Nashville for silver and black. And no, he doesn’t supplant Derek Carr. He’s slated to be the backup QB.

As far as that guy who might supplant #4 – no names, but his initials are TB12 – there’s no news in that department, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, the Raiders could do far worse for a backup quarterback than a dude with a Heisman Trophy, a lifetime QB rating of 89.6, and a reputation as a total class act, so welcome to the Valley, Marcus!
