And no, we didn't write this just so we could totally use a big word like philanthropist the right way.

Anyway, The Weeknd is a big-time philanthropist. He's given over $2 million to various causes just this summer. Most recently, he donated $300,000 to relief for the victims of that massive explosion in Lebanon. (Do you want to help them too? Click here for info.)

That's just part of the huge pile of cash he's given to everything from Black Lives Matter to Coronavirus relief to legal relief organizations.
