Vegas Valley COVID Zip Code Map Is Getting Better

We like to check out the map of where COVID’s running hottest around town every so often, and looking at the lastest version, things seem to be getting better – yeah, slowly, but we’ll take it.  We were checking the data on the Southern Nevada Health District website, and the total number of new Clark County COVID cases went like this over the last four days of last week:

• Wednesday: 3,428
• Thursday: 2,447
• Friday: 1,343
• Saturday: 885

Good signs, friend. There’s a long way to go, but like we said, we’ll happily take those good signs.

  The formation of the Salt Flats began at the end of the last Ice Age, when the waters of ancient Lake Bonneville began to recede. Today, ground water slowly flows towards the Salt Flats, picks up dissolved minerals along the way, and percolates up to the surface. During the cooler months of the year (November to May), salt water evaporation slows down and the ground water floods the Salt Flats several inches deep.
