Governor Steve Sisolak has announced what we all expected: effective immediately, Nevada’s mask mandate is over. Nevada joins several other states, including our beloved neighbors down I-15 in California – you caught the sarcasm dripping from the word “beloved,” right? – in rescinding their mask mandates.

In today’s press conference, he included the reminder that the federal mask mandate is still in effect in Nevada, including at places like Harry Reid International Airport, on planes, and on public transportation. Other locations may continue to require masking as well.

To commemorate the moment, let’s take a look back at scenes from with The Strip reopened after our original lockdown.
