Aimee’s Smart Scale Talked Smack This Morning
We’ve all been there. The up and down battle of the bulge. The weight comes off, and it comes back, time and again and it’s a battle. But today, Aimee’s battle became very extra.
You see Shawn was in fighting shape when the pandemic started. Down 30 pounds, feeling fantastic and… then the pandemic freezer eating and staying cooped up in the house doomed him. The pounds started to add up and he was right back where he started by the end of 2020.
But for Aimee, it was quite the opposite! She shaved off the pounds throughout 2020 and was feeling pretty great about herself! She even bought a smart scale to keep track of her progress as she went from thick to thicc. But by mid 2021, she did like we all do. She broke up with her scale. She hung out with her friends (wine). And the progress got set back a bit.
Now she’s on a new morning show with a bunch of cameras and it’s kicked her back into high gear. Gym, pre-show, daily. A monster. A weapon. Vicious. Unstoppable.
She hopped back on her scale and… in the year she stopped using it, it went from a “smart” scale to a “smart-ass” scale. The stupid app had the gall to say: “Your weight has changed a lot. Is this your measurement?”
Aimee was quite justifiably mortified. She hit the gym even harder and came into the studio with a chip on her shoulder. Shawn wants to take a sledgehammer to the lippy scale, but Aimee doesn’t want to lose the money she sank into it.
