Aimee+Shawn Squash Instagram Beef With Mercedes
WOW! Show #1 was an interesting one for Aimee+Shawn! From the first moment the pair started getting messages from spouses, friends and listeners at @MercedesInTheAM on Instagram was following all of the @AimeeAndShawn followers. Heck, even Aimee herself was followed!
It was baffling for the two of them, Shawn especially! He had a sneaky suspicion it wasn’t Mercedes doing the following, but nonetheless they updated listeners hourly through the show. At the very end of the show, they took a vote with an in-studio audience and we all decided we have to block @MercedesInTheAM on Instagram.
Later in the day, Shawn got a call… from Mercedes.
Twenty minutes and nothing but love. She apologized profusely for it happening and promised it will never happen again. Which we are super OK with. Shawn and Mercedes go way back, and frankly we are here for a good time, not for drama…
…OK not completely.
We found out it was actually Mercedes’ producer Steph that went on the follow mission! Now, for those who don’t know, Shawn worked across the street at Mix for many years and worked with Steph! At one point a while back, Shawn even offered to help Steph build a website while she was in-between jobs, and purchased the domains for her. That was a couple years ago.
And it just turns out that Shawn has the domains still!

All kidding aside, we’ve got nothing but love for our friends across the street, and we are just brats that want to have a little fun. Slightly petty fun.
