Chores That You Can’t Stand!
Life can get pretty busy sometimes, and having to keep up with everything in your orbit can be incredibly obnoxious. Whether it’s doing your laundry, filing your taxes, cleaning your bathrooms or feeding your kids (why can’t they make their own food?! Old enough to build a pillow fort, old enough to throw a pizza in the oven!)
Aimee discovered her new most hated chore. Replacing can light bulbs in her ceiling. Have you ever replaced them if you have that one room with tall ceilings? IT IS THE WORST! The big yellow pole, the wire springy thing that supposedly holds on to the bulb to make it easier to do but it never does. It’s pain. And she hates it. With a passion.
Shawn chimed in with his own hate: laundry. It’s not that he minds throwing it IN the laundry. It’s everything that comes after it. The folding. The hanging. The finding matching socks. How much can one person take?! Aimee+Shawn discovered they both have piles of clean clothes in several parts of their homes that they pluck from as the week goes on. (Shawn even has a piece of luggage from a trip he took over two weeks ago that he is picking clothes from).
A survey a few years back from Duck Brand found that the number one most hated chore was cleaning the toilet (which, yeah, obvi), followed by cleaning the oven and the windows. Then there’s removing hair from the drain, which is absolutely disgusting once it starts to coagulate. Brutal. How have they not invented an attractive looking hair catcher yet? Those corny rubber ones are cringe-worthy.
