DOCTOR OZ GETS TROLLED BY SNOOKI… SORT OF
We love a good prank, and the race for the Pennsylvania Senate Seat is really filled with them. That’s the one that TV host Doctor Mehmet Oz is running against the state’s Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman. The big claim is that Dr. Oz actually is a New Jersey resident, and considering he has a massive 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom mansion there, they aren’t wrong. Well, the latest is that he filmed one of his recent Pennsylvania Senate race ads in that New Jersey mansion. So his competitor has hopped all over it.
First they flew a plane banner over the Jersey Shore reading “Dr. Oz, welcome home in New Jersey”. He is selling “Dr Oz For New Jersey” bumper stickers. But the last one is the funniest. They had Snooki from ‘Jersey Shore’ do a Cameo where she wished Dr Oz good luck on trying to land his new job… take a listen (CLIP) This is a master class in trolling.

THE FIVE SECOND RULE IS WRONG
The scientists at Rutgers University are here to help muddy the waters of every dad who has ever given fallen food advice. The “5 second rule” – the rule that if food that fell on the ground is there for less than 5 seconds, it’s OK to eat – is wrong. Their research showed that bacteria can jump to the food in less than a second. But if the food is delicious enough, what’s a little bacteria?!
MAN SAVED BY SOCCER BALL FLOATING IN THE SEA
Two kids lost their soccer ball off the coast of Greece at the end of June. Who cares right? Well, a guy named Ivan does. He was swimming elsewhere in Greece over a week later when he got swept out into the sea. His friends ran to find authorities, but lost track of him. Meanwhile, Ivan lucked out. He found that very soccer ball that was lost by those kids days earlier and clung onto it for 18 hours before he was rescued. If that isn’t serendipity, we don’t know what is.
