A Rare Sports Headline: Golden Knights Def. Raiders
GOLDEN KNIGHTS DEF. RAIDERS
At long last, the Battle For Vegas was won by the Knights. The charity softball game took place last night at Las Vegas Ballpark. Team Reilly Smith and his team of current and former VGK players including Ryan Reaves, defeated Team Josh Jacobs with his team of Raiders. Final score was a football score… 27 to 20. William Karlsson took home the MVP with two home runs on the night. This was the first time in the event’s 3 year history that the Knights won the game. Over $200,000 is expected to have been raised for local charities.
A QUICKER TACO BELL, IF THAT’S POSSIBLE
You don’t have to drive very far to go to your nearest Taco Bell location, but a new one open in North Las Vegas is focused on speed and efficiency. It’s a “Go Mobile” location across from the Cannery on Craig Road. There is no dining room – no big loss. Instead, there are two drive thru lanes. One for people ordering on the spot, and the other for people who ordered on the app or for delivery drivers swinging by to pick up a Crunchwrap Supreme for Dwayne who didn’t want to leave his house and make the 3 minute trip.
PLEASE SHOW UP FOR YOUR DMV APPOINTMENT
The Nevada Department Of Motor Vehicles have a favor to ask. If you make an appointment with them…show up for it. In June, they report that 93,000 appointments were reserved on their website… but only 52% of people showed up for those appointments. Meanwhile, there are others that have to wait weeks to get an appointment, and often walk-ins are turned away due to the backlog. Also worth noting, there are a ton of jobs available at the DMV, so if you’re looking for a government gig, take a crack at it.
