What Trouble Did Aimee+Shawn Get Into In School
I want to start by saying I was a good kid. I just wanted all of the attention. I wasn’t mean or disrespectful, I just wanted to have some fun. OK, so maybe I wasn’t a ‘good’ kid persay…but I wasn’t bad.
High School was so much fun for me and for the most part, I got along really well with all of my teachers. Looking back I’m sure I was entertaining for my classmates and teachers but also when I was in class people weren’t getting much done.
I had government my junior year and Mr. Snyder was my teacher. I knew that Fridays were test days and I would make it a point to get kicked out of class so I could go to the testing center so I could have my girlfriend do the test for me. (Pretty annoying as a kid I guess.) Sitting right up front and center while Mr. Snyder was teaching I started a note and told everyone to pass it around and take a peek. The note got about halfway across the classroom and he confiscated it. What came next was pretty amazing. Mr. Snyder, without even opening the note, raised his arms up in the air and said “YES Aimee, I do have pit stains. Can we continue now?!” He KNEW what it said without even looking at it!
That moment I will never forget. At that point, he won. It wasn’t even funny anymore and we did in fact just continue with the lesson. Mr. Snyder won that day. To be honest, I don’t know if I ever did write another note in that class because he knew what I would be writing without even opening it.
