Las Vegas Airport Set New PR For Number Of Travelers In June
You don’t have to tell Las Vegas locals… we know our city is a happening spot. Traffic is always bonkers. The Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Fremont are always packed. It’s a madhouse at times.
Perhaps the brunt of embracing the chaos as a local occurs when there’s a need to get within a mile of Harry Reid International Airport. It never fails. Every time I’m picking up a friend or family member and I approach our Las Vegas airport, I want to pull my hair out. If you can’t tell, I may or may not struggle a tiny bit with road age.
Nonetheless, June was certainly one of the most frustrating months driving within sight’s view of the airport. I had a few friends fly in and visit throughout the course of the month. I recall pulling up to the utter chaos of the dreaded passenger pickup line and noticing how many people were standing at the familiar numbered poles. “Good grief… Why are there so many more people than usual?”
It turns out my observation was accurate. Fox 5 reports “According to the airport, a whopping 4,683,156 people traveled through the airport last month. This amount surpasses the previous high, which was set in Oct. 2019 with 4,609,318 passengers.”
That figure divided out over the course of June means that an average of approximately 156,105 travelers stepped foot in Harry Reid International Airport each day last month. Some of these individuals might have been catching a connecting flight. I’m sure the vast majority had touched down to explore the wonders of our fabulous city. I just can’t wrap my head around a number that large. But I know that tourism keeps our lights on in Las Vegas, and tourism means lots and lots of tourists. Congrats, Harry Reid!

Living Single In Las Vegas Might Not Be For You
If you’re single and living in Las Vegas, it might not be the best city to live in…especially if you’re looking to hook-up with other singles! You would think with the night life, pool parties during the summer and all that there is to do on a weekend, Las Vegas would be a great place to live if you were single!
You also might want to consider if you’re on a budget, there are things to do for everyone depending on your current financial situation. From dining out, concerts, shows up and down the strip to taking in the great outdoors…hiking, spending the day on the lake and so much more!
Not to mention, Las Vegas now has major league sports in the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL and the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL. Talks of a Major League Baseball team are in the works and that’s only a matter of time.
Well, if you did research and considered all those elements, you would think Las Vegas would come in at least in the Top 5! Nope!
Actually, Zillow recently did some research on 100 of the biggest cities in America to find which ones were the best to live in if you were single.
It was based on three simple factors: How many other single people there are, how expensive the rent is and how many apartments are available for single people.
Considering just those three factors, it’s no wonder Las Vegas didn’t make the Top 10! If you look at just the Top 5, I guess they have their own “single” appeal, however, given the choice, I’ll take Las Vegas over any of these cities.
Scroll down below to see what cities made the Top 5 on this list and if you have any doubt about our great city of Las Vegas…you might want to start packing the bags!
