Shoplifting Has Gotten So Bad, Spam Is Locked Up
HOW BAD IS THE SHOPLIFTING CRISIS? SPAM BAD
Chances are you’ve seen the video of brazen shoplifting taking place around the country. From Red Bull being stolen here, to bicyclists waltzing into San Francisco Walgreens and taking whatever they’d like. The situation has gotten a bit out of control. So much so, that a Duane Reade drug store location in New York has put many things in anti-theft containers including, most recently… Spam. No joke, the canned meat (?) product is getting the top-security treatment, along with tuna cans. Oh, 2022.

SOMEONE WON MEGA MILLIONS AND WE KIND OF HATE THEM
Well, we are all back at work today. All but one of us. One single solitary winner got all six numbers correct and hit Mega Millions on Friday to land the $1.337 Billion jackpot. That person lives in Illinois. We don’t. So, we shake our fists in the air. That said – the things people were doing to try to get “lucky” were pretty hilarious. One Chino Hills, CA 7-Eleven location calls itself the “Luckiest 7-Eleven In The World”, having sold the largest jackpot ever back in 2016. But as anyone in Las Vegas knows, if the machine just hit, it won’t hit again for a while.
WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE… PINEAPPLE
List this under things we’d buy if we hit Mega Millions. Farmers in the UK have grown what will end up being the most expensive pineapple you’ve ever seen, expected to get over $12,000 at auction. The farmers have perfected the process of tricking the pineapple into thinking it is in a more tropical climate, which allowed them to grow the fruit in the relatively cool England. If you buy it, just be careful not to put it on your porch. Unless you’re into that sort of thing.
