The Summerlin South Juniors All-Stars team were on a path that could very well have brought them to the Little League World Series back in 2020, and like all good plans in 2020, they were interrupted by COVID. But the team never stopped believing they had what it took to win a championship. Two years later, they got the entire team back together and they have their sights towards the Juniors World Series. They’ve been killing it and have qualified for the West Regionals, taking place in Bend, Oregon, and potentially the World Series in Michigan. Only one problem… they don’t have all the cash they need to get there. Enter GoFundMe. They are trying to raise $10,000 to help offset the costs, and if you can drop a dime, do it!
TI, CIRCUS CIRCUS OWNER MEETING WITH A’S BRASS
Don’t count Las Vegas out just yet. The RJ is reporting that Circus Circus and TI owner Phil Ruffin is headed to Oakland today to discuss a possible future home of the Athletics here in Las Vegas, with a source saying the property in question is the Las Vegas Festival Grounds at the corner of the Strip and Sahara. The Oakland City Council is returning from break later this month and the A’s are awaiting finalizing a potential waterfront ballpark along the Port Of Oakland. But, never bet against Vegas.
MAN ACCUSED OF BRAZEN SUMMERLIN ROBBERY BUSTED IN ARIZONA
It was an incredibly scary video, an 80 year old man fleeing for his life, a younger guy running after him and attempting to use his own weapon to shoot him. But it wouldn’t fire. The harrowing video had the valley, particularly the quiet Summerlin neighborhood near Cheyenne and the 215, stunned. Well, fortunately a suspect has been arrested in the case. Armondo Dangerfield was busted in Mesa, Arizona. He faces a ton of counts and is being held in at the moment. Certainly a relief.
