  • New Law Would Require Airlines To Pay YOU For Canceled Flights! Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is proposing a new bill that would require airlines to offer cash refunds to travelers, whose flights have been canceled. The airlines would be required to offer a full refund within 30 days of a flight cancellation or significant delay. Over 88,000 flights have been canceled in the U.S. since the beginning of the year. It only makes sense. Just like when you are 15 mins late for a doctor’s apt you get a $50 late or no show fee but you can sit in the doctor’s office waiting room for 2 hours and nothing happens. And you are paying to be there! I’m all for this new bill. Let’s get it passed!

  • The first day of school is just 4 days away and not only are kids getting ready, Dads in Schools are getting ready too! Dads in schools are just that. Volunteer dads that are going to be in schools all over the valley to help protect our kids. This is a volunteer program started by Troy Martinez. He says that there have been 81 schools have asked for the program and there are 750 volunteers! Last year here in Vegas there were guns, fights, and teachers being assaulted. Dads in Schools are going to help put an end to it so our teachers can teach and our kids can learn. You can donate or sign up to volunteer here.

  • The Animal Foundation trying to clear the shelters as well as clear some stereotypes when it comes to pit bulls. They say there is no such thing as safe or unsafe dogs. It all depends on their past traumas and how they were treated and or raised. About half of the dogs at the animal shelter are pitbulls. Adoption fees for all dogs have been waived through the end of August, part of the month-long “clear the shelters” campaign happening nationwide. Adopt here!
