Nevada DMV Ending Most Walk-Ins Monday
APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED SOON AT DMV
Long waits in line at the Department Of Motor Vehicles will soon become a thing of the past. The Nevada DMV announced that effective Monday, they plan on ending most walk-in services at their largest locations including all locations in the valley. The change is due to staff shortages and high customer demand that really began after the delays brought on by the pandemic. Walk-ins will only be accepted for movement permits, plate drop-offs, inspections, driver’s license reinstatements and to pay any debts. There is some good news, as thousands more appointment slots are expected to open up due to the policy change. Rural DMV’s like Pahrump will continue to offer walk-in services.
HAPPY ENDING FOR ABUSED DOG
It was a that story made us all so angry. A guy parked on top of the Bellagio garage and taped a puppy’s mouth shut before heading inside to gamble late last month. That gamble didn’t pay off for the guy, as he was arrested. The dog thankfully came out fairly well despite being in a sweltering hot car for who knows how long. Well, the story has a happy ending. The pup, now named Dutchess, was adopted out by The Animal Foundation to a beautiful family, and she looks absolutely thrilled to be wrapped in their loving arms!

GAS UNDER $4 A GALLON ON AVERAGE IN AMERICA
Paying for gas has been a pain in the…gas as of late. The national average for a gallon of gas hit as high as $5.02 back in June. Well, thankfully the trend has been downward for several weeks and the average price for a gallon of unleaded hit $3.99 today. Here at home, it’s obviously more. The average price for a gallon in Las Vegas is at $4.89, better than the $5.61 high we reached in June, but still terrible.
