What Do Your Dreams Mean And What Foods Fix
When I have bad dreams I try to not let them affect my day and put me in a bad mood but sometimes they make us so uneasy all you can do is spend your day googling what they mean.
This is now a blessing and a curse!
I had terrible nightmares last night that I was being chased and I couldn’t run. Then when I got caught I couldn’t scream. This happened multiple times during one night’s sleep so I had to google to find out why you can never run, scream or punch in your dreams. (we have all been there) What do my dreams mean and how can I help change them? Turns out, food can help you!
Julie Lambert is a certified sleep expert, she says that happens “because your brain areas that control motor neurons are switched off during sleep.”
Another recurring dream I have is that my teeth are falling out. That could be because of my fear of the dentist and that’s the dream of my future life or go with what google tells me:
According to Spa Dental, “crumbling teeth can symbolize our fear that our life is falling apart and there’s nothing we can do to help it stay together.”
See… Blessing and a curse! I’m falling apart.
Dream Enhancing Foods:
- Cheese – Tryptophan is an amino acid in cheese that more effectively produces serotonin when combined with carbs. (say no more)
- Fish – Fish is brain food and it really does help with brain health and memory.
- Nuts – most nuts contain magnesium which helps your muscles relax and obviously we all need more of that in our lives.
- Rice – Rice helps your body naturally produce melatonin which helps regulate your body levels and body clock.
- Chocolate – chocolate is known for having calming effects on the mind due to high levels of magnesium and calcium.
- Bananas – A more healthy option than chocolate, bananas are high in tryptophan and also magnesium, and potassium.
- Meat – Mostly chicken and turkey. You know when you fall asleep at Thanksgiving dinner? It’s true. Blame turkey.
- Tofu – That is if you are vegan.
- Eggs – This is tough because eggs are for breakfast.
- Cherries – They are a natural source of melatonin like rice.
