(VIDEO) Woman Ballet Dances Her Way Through DUI Stop, Doesn’t Impress
Florida is the state that keeps on giving, and this video is no exception.
38 year old Amy Harrington of Madeira Beach, Florida was stopped back in April for having rear-ended someone down the road a bit. As soon as police stopped her they noticed in her eyes that she may very well have been drinking. Enter the classic “sobriety check”, which is American Ninja Warrior for the massively inebriated.
Cops asked Amy to walk a straight line in order to prove she was, in fact, not drunk (or actually was drunk). It took about two steps until Amy got goofy on the line, and she decided to try to save the moment…with ballet.
We don’t know if Amy is actually trained in the art of ballet, but we are willing to bet when sober she gives it a good shot. That said, she likely had too many shots and the performance that followed was a mix between The Nutcracker and an Irish folk dance. Whatever it was, it wasn’t fooling officers one bit.
During the video, Amy can be heard telling one of the officers that she sounds like her ballet coach, before continuing to show off her moves. The officer replied “that wasn’t good.” She was charged with driving under the influence for the incident, for which the video was just released this weekend.
This isn’t Amy’s first run-in with the law. Back in 2019 she refused to do a sobriety test in another stop with police. No word as to whether or not she performed in that incident.
If we’ve learned anything from this video, it’s don’t drink and drive, and for the love of God don’t do Lord Of The Dance if you’re pulled over.
