Big Brother Is Always Listening
Big Brother refers to the government watching us with cameras and listening devices. You don’t always realize it but sometimes weird things pop up and you remember that “they” are listening.
I was at my girlfriend’s house the other night for dinner and my husband and I were talking about how nice her salt and pepper shakers were. They have LED light salt and pepper shakers and when you flip them upside down they are automatically dispensed on their own. No button, no twisting easy and convenient.
We are 1000 years old because we did talk about how cool they were for about 5 minutes. Shortly later I was scrolling through Facebook and one of the sponsored ads was for those exact salt and pepper shakers. I screenshot and sent it to my husband and asked if he had googled them or searched them in any way shape or form and he said ‘NO’! I hadn’t either. They were listening! How did they know the exact ones that they had? Like I said sometimes it blows my mind just how much they are listening and know.
According to PHYS.org: “Most people do not realize that when they use a mobile phone the wireless part of the link, which is secured by the network operators, is only between the mobile phone and the base station closest to the location of both the caller and recipient. In between, the signal travels through ordinary phone lines. At this point, it is possible for your conversation to be accessed by unauthorized parties.”
Creepy stuff! There are some ways you can block some of it… they say in your settings you have to turn off all tracking and on all privacy settings.
