To say it’s been a disappointing start for the Las Vegas Raiders would be an understatement. After a 24-19 loss to the rival Los Angeles Chargers, last weekend featured a devastating loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Well, that turned to be a step too far for one Raiders fan who decided to take things into his own open hand.

The Cardinals were down 23-7 entering the fourth quarter, when they went on a 16-0 tear before regulation to tie the game and force an overtime. There, they scored a touchdown and stole the victory. Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray headed towards the Wynn Field Seats that line the end zone to celebrate with a Cardinals fan. The high-priced fan section lets fans get incredibly close to the action with drinks flowing, booths and a party like atmosphere.

All of a sudden, a hand appeared.

The hand was that of a suspected Raiders fan who caught Kyler right in the face. Murray went from jubilant to angered pretty quickly, spotting the fan in the crowd and pointing directly at him.

This is why we can’t have nice things (although, Wynn Field Club is a nice thing, and we have it, but if it keeps happening who knows for how long).

Now the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is coming forward and saying that a report has been filed with Metro and they are now investigating the matter. Although, they don’t quite know who the suspect is.

The Raiders fan base has, according to many, become a bit calmer in the move to Las Vegas. But the “Black Hole” does show its face occasionally. Can’t we all just get along (and maintain a lead going into the fourth quarter so that celebration doesn’t happen in the first place)?
