Kelly Clarkson and Sam Smith have fans in a frenzy after the two dueted on Clarkson's 2004 single “Breakaway." The singers were performing on The Kelly Clarkson Show Tuesday (October 11) when they impressed viewers with their powerful harmonies during the "Kellyoke" segment.

Comedian Nikki Glaser raved, "On my fourth time watching this," While Bravo host Andy Cohen exclaimed, "RELEASE THIS AS A SINGLE NOWWWWWWW!!!!!!" One fan commented, "This was the duet I never knew I needed." Another wrote, "You should re-record this together! Absolutely beautiful. On repeat!" Another fan gushed, "Oh what I would give for a recorded version of this duet... those two voices together are just magic." One fan said of the song, which was co-written by Avril Lavigne and originally intended for her debut album Let Go, "Chills On that harmonic blend, especially on out of the darkness oh my gosh--I just love Avril Lavigne's writing and with you two singing this ----holy moly!!!!!!" Another person wrote, "i didn’t realize this song could be even more gorgeous and epic until now wowowow."

Smith posted a series of photos from their time on Clarkson's show with the caption: "Thank you for having me @kellyclarksonshow Singing Breakaway with you was a dream come true xx."

Following his appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Smith, 30, wrote on his Instagram Stories that singing with Clarkson is something they "will never get over," adding, "When I was a troubled and confused teenager I sit in my room listening to your album and dream of what life could be like. Your voice and your songs healed me in so many ways. So to sing Breakaway with you was v emotional for me. Thank you for your kindness and for sharing your super powers with us all."

Elsewhere in the episode, Clarkson asks Smith about another trophy he is supposed to receive from Ed Sheeran, which is a "6-foot-2 marble penis," adding, "It’s two tons, and I’m gonna have to get it craned into my house." As for where they will put the large, phallic gift, Smith said they want to turn it into a water fountain, “which I think will be hard to do.” Smith also revealed Sheeran, 31, is infamous for “giving people concrete penises” and that “Elton [John] was first.”
