Free Dinosaur Halloween Display in Henderson!
For those looking for a unique Halloween display in the Las Vegas Valley, a retired middle school teacher in Henderson has decked out his dozens of dinosaurs for the holiday.
The dinosaurs sit proudly in Henderson resident, Steve Springer‘s, front yard. The collection has gradually grown to a whopping 62 pre-historic creatures over the past 16 years, and the attraction sees about 40,000 visitors annually. According to Fox 5, once spooky season starts to approach, the dinosaurs find themselves “in a Halloween world.”
If you decide to pay the festive dinos a visit, you’ll find several festive additions among the grounds, including skulls, dismembered body parts, spiders, and a giant, blow-up dragon. Most of his guests are local Las Vegans, but the internet has provided him a fans from around the globe that travel to see his collection.
Every year for every holiday, Springer preps his dinosaurs for the seasonal festivities, and the best part… his display is FREE to visit and no one leaves the experience empty-handed. Every visitor, no matter your age, gets to pick a dinosaur egg from a wall inside his garage. The number inside the egg corresponds with a specific prize. While Springer does take donations to keep his unique attraction up-and-running, he pays for the vast majority of is paid for out of his pocket because of the kindness in his heart.
Check out his Halloween-decorated dinosaurs at 733 Greenway Road in Henderson, open every day of the year except Halloween. Stop by any day of the week between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesdays – Sundays.
