Let's face it. We all either love "The Office" or know someone that loves the hit comedy series. And as for the characters in the show, how can you not love Dwight Schrute? He's definitely a popular favorite among fans, but as it turns out, the actor who plays the role, Rainn Wilson, is just as iconic as the character he once played.
In a video released on Twitter, actor Rainn Wilson announced that he has changed his name in an effort to bring awareness to and protest climate change. The 56-year-old Wilson, still best known today for his legendary role as Dwight, is now going by the name of "Rainnfall Heat Wave Extreme Winter Wilson."
In the video, which has since gone viral, Wilson explains that he chose his new name because it "represents the extreme weather conditions we're currently experiencing due to climate change." He goes on to say that he hopes his new name will inspire others to take action on this issue.
According to News 3, Wilson's name change "comes as the United Nations plans to meet in Egypt for a climate change conference this week named the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC or COP27." A board member of Arctic Basecamp (a team of scientists and experts who share their knowledge with the world at various events), Wilson apparently made the name change as "part of their collective efforts."
Change your name, change the world. At least, that's what Rainn Wilson is hoping for. "Rainnfall Heat Wave Extreme Winter Wilson" has a nice ring to it if you ask me. And while Wilson isn't the first celebrity to use their platform to raise awareness about pressing, important issues like climate change, he is one of the few who has actually changed their name in an effort to do so.
There's no denying that it's achieved its purpose with its newfound viral status. So kudos to Rainn Wilson for using his platform in such a creative way!

8 Best Comedy Clubs In Las Vegas According To You
You don't know what you got 'til it's gone. When COVID caused the (at least partial) shutdown of several businesses, the one many found themselves missing the most were the comedy clubs. From the small holes in the wall to the thousand-plus seat auditoriums, Las Vegas was always the home to uproarious laughter. Then... silence. The most noise on the strip came to the ducks and geese that thought we were gone for good.
Well, restrictions faded, doors reopened, and last week the final comedy club yet to open finally kicked on the lights.
Kimmel is back...
Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club at The LINQ Promenade was the last to give the green light. The club was only open for less than a year before we got "down with the sickness". Named after the late night host and Clark High School alum, the comedy club also serves as a semi-studio. That allows Jimmy to patch in comedians performing in Vegas to perform on his late night show.
Kimmel is coming back to Las Vegas this Friday to get the Key To The Strip from Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. The ceremony will be at 7pm at the club.
So, at long last, comedy is back in full force in the valley! If you haven't been to a live comedy show, especially in a "smaller venue", then we've got the list for you. We've scoured the internet and reviews to find the best reviewed clubs in Las Vegas! Below are the Top 8 as rated by the masses. Plus, under each you'll also see the funniest/weirdest quotes from some of the 1-star reviews the club has gotten. Because comedy is tragedy plus time.
Comedy, we are glad you're back.
