The Great Texas Feces Caper: A Real-Life “Breaking Bad” Moment?
We’ve all had moments when we wanted to take a stand against someone or something that has wronged us. But few of us go as far as 46-year-old Mindy Stephens, who allegedly took her protest to Electra, Texas with a 50-pound delivery of…well, let’s just say it wasn’t chocolates. In fact, the police department there claims that she delivered three 5-gallon buckets filled with what appeared to be feces. Read on for the bizarre details.
The Accused Delivery Person: Mindy Stephens, last month, decided to make her presence felt by making an unusual drop-off at the local police department. An officer was sent out front to investigate and found what he suspected were three 5-gallon buckets full of feces waiting for him outside the building. To top it off, Ms. Stephens was walking towards an SUV with a trailer attached while wearing a hazmat suit! It sounds like something out of a movie!
The Charges:
According to KAXN, Ms. Stephens was charged with two offenses that day – illegal dumping (a Class B misdemeanor) and violating Texas health safety code (the specifics are unknown). She was booked last week and then released early the next day – probably without having paid any bail or fines. It appears that she got off easy this time around!
A Very Stinky Stand:
While it’s unclear why Ms. Stephens chose such an extreme form of protest, one thing is certain – her message was heard loud and clear! Whether or not she will face any further charges remains to be seen but this story serves as a reminder that if you have something important to say (or do), sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands…even if it means taking things literally into your own hands – and dropping them off in front of a police station!
If you ever get frustrated enough with the authorities — or anyone else — don’t try this at home (or anywhere else). But if you’re looking for comic relief from life’s everyday problems and dramas, you can find solace in stories like these . And who knows? Maybe Mindy Stephens’ stunt will inspire others across America who would like their voices heard — albeit in more civil ways than delivering buckets full of poo! In any case, this story certainly gives new meaning to the phrase “dropping off some serious crap.” Who knew that kind of humor could come from such a stinky situation?
