Shrek-Themed Rave Coming To Las Vegas In 2023

Are you ready for the party of the year? In January 2023, AREA15 in Las Vegas will be hosting a Shrek-themed rave. Yep, you read that right. A rave centered around the 2001 computer-animated fantasy comedy film.

Go ahead and clear your schedules for this once-in-a-lifetime event. News 3 reports that the rave will take place in AREA15’s “A-Lot parking lot” on Friday, January 20th, 2023, with doors opening at 9:30 pm. The event is open to individuals that are 18 years or older, and a valid ID or driver’s license will be required in order to attend the Shrek-themed rave.

While the movie itself is over 20 years old at this point, the characters and quotes from Shrek have remained extremely relevant and popular in society, primarily due to social media and trending memes frequently crafted from the film. And hey, I’m not upset about it! The movie itself is iconic, and those memes get me every time. It’s about time they started hosting massive themed-events around the franchise.

As far as dress requirements go, there is only one noted rule for the Shrek-themed rave: NO nudity. It will not be permitted. That said, this is your opportunity to get creative! Costumes are encouraged, so let those creative juices start flowing. Whether you’re a fan of Donkey, Puss in Boots, Fiona, or Shrek himself, go with an option that will make you look and feel like you’re the king or queen of the swamp.

Consider a bright green dress with sequins and tulle – perfect for channeling your inner Fiona. Or opt for something more subtle with an emerald green velvet jumpsuit – perfect for channeling your inner Shrek. If you want something more understated but still eye-catching, try pairing a floral dress with a pair of glittery heels or ankle boots. Whatever rockin’ outfit you sport, keep in mind that you might need some storage space built in, as the Shrek-themed rave is a BYOO (Bring Your Own Onions) event.

No matter what type of outfit you choose for this one-of-a-kind event, remember that it should be fun and festive… because that’s what this Shrek-themed rave is all about. The virtual flyer literally says “IT’S DUMB JUST COME HAVE FUN!” Grab your friends and get ready to have an unforgettable night out at AREA15 Las Vegas in January 2023! You won’t want to miss it!
