Red Rock Canyon To Increase Entrance Fees In 2023
Those planning a visit to Red Rock Canyon in 2023 can expect to be met with increased entrance fees.
According to News 3, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recently announced that recreation fees for Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas are on the rise. Starting in 2023, visitors to the popular outdoor destination will be charged an increased fee to enter the park’s 13-mile scenic drive.
Starting January 1st, 2023, Red Rock Canyon will begin charging a $20 entrance fee for passenger vehicles, $8 for bicycles, $25 for individual campsites, $12 for walk-in campsites, and $80 for group campsites. The price of Red Rock Canyon’s Annual Support Pass will also increase to $50 a year, but fortunately, the fees for pedestrians or motorcycles will not increase. $25 per vehicle, with an additional $15 charge per person if you’re hiking or bike riding.
While the news of this fee increase may be disheartening news for those who have been visiting the area for years, visitors can likely expect major improvements to the park. According to the Bureau of Land Management, the last fee increase at Red Rock Canyon was implemented in 2018, and as a result, many of the canyon’s amenities, activities, and services received vast improvements and ultimately enhanced the visitor experience.
But where did the push for a 2023 recreation fee increase come from? The raised entrance fee was recommended by the Mojave-Southern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council to the BLM Nevada State Director in January 2018, ultimately approved by the BLM Nevada State Director in March 2018.

Here are some of the reasons why hiking in the fall is the best.
The Weather Is Perfect
One of the best things about hiking in the fall is the weather. It’s not too hot or too cold, which makes for perfect hiking conditions. The desert can be quite hot in the summer, so hiking in the fall is a great time to enjoy the scenery without having to worry about overheating. If you’re looking for a moderate challenge, Fall is also a great time to hike one of Arizona’s “seven summits” – Humphreys Peak, Arizona’s tallest mountain at 12,637 feet.
The Leaves Are Beautiful
Another reason why hiking in the fall is the best is because of all the beautiful leaves. The desert southwest has some of the most incredible fall foliage, and it’s truly a sight to see. Apache Junction is home to Lost Dutchman State Park which is a great place to see all sorts of different trees and plants changing color.
