A 12-Year-Old’s Christmas Miracle

A story out of Cambridge, Minnesota is making its rounds online. Who would have thought a 12-year-old boy from a small town could make such a huge difference? Jonathan Werner sold $56,000 worth of Boy Scout popcorn and chocolate-covered pretzels this year. Not only did he use his earnings to buy 600 Christmas presents for foster care children and victims of domestic violence, but he also made sure to sprinkle in personal touches like hand-written notes and customized gift cards. Jonathan has become an overnight superstar – and his story is one that we can all learn from!

The Power of Compassion
Jonathan’s story is inspiring on so many levels. This act of kindness shows us the power of compassion – how even something as small as giving back can make a big impact. We can all take cues from Jonathan, who took it upon himself to take action and help those in need by using the skills he already had (selling snacks). His selflessness reminds us that even the smallest acts of kindness can go miles toward helping others.

Jonathan Werner may be just 12 years old, but his actions have truly made an impact far beyond his years.
