Adele Reveals Battle With Sciatica, Las Vegas Residency Could Be Cut Short
The most talked about Las Vegas Residency of 2022 could potentially be cut short in 2023 following a recent announcement made by the headlining artist, Adele.
Weekends With Adele at The Colosseum made headlines throughout 2022 after the singer postponed her Las Vegas Residency at the very last minute. Now, as the weekly shows are going strong heading into the new year, the 34-year-old singer has revealed that she is struggling with severe back pain as she pushes through her performances.
According to Daily Mail, during Adele’s most recent Las Vegas Residency performance on New Year’s Eve, she “reportedly hobbled across stage during her during signature T-shirt cannon fire as she explained to the audience she has ‘really bad sciatica‘.”
Sciatica is a back pain that travels down the sciatic nerve, and if you’re unfamiliar with the term, consider yourself lucky. The pain caused by sciatica is no joke. Count your blessings, and send all your thoughts, prayers, and good vibes to Adele, who joked she has to ‘waddle these days’.
So what does this mean for the remainder of her Las Vegas Residency?
Well. With the intense pain caused by sciatica, it’s hard to tell. It’s certainly possible that if her pain does not improve, she could be faced with no choice but to cut her residency short. After all – it’s important she prioritizes her health over everything and doesn’t push herself too hard. All we can do is hope that the singer is able to rest and heal when she’s not taking the stage at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.
We hope you feel better soon, Adele!
