Billie Eilish, wearing Gucci, attends the 2022 LACMA ART+FILM GALA Presented By Gucci at Los Angeles County Museum of Art on November 05, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

L.A. Police Department officers arrested a person for burglary Thursday night at the home belonging to Billie Eilish’s family. Per KTLA, the family’s housekeeper made the call, though they weren’t even at the residence at the time of the incident. Around 9 p.m., the housekeeper received an alert via camera footage that showed the suspect. Police officers quickly arrived at the scene.

The employee didn’t recognize the person and reported that they saw the suspect wearing dark clothing. They report that the person jumped a fence to get onto the property. Police searched the home looking for evidence but don’t believe anything was stolen. They reportedly apprehended the suspect about a block away. Neither Billie nor her family appeared to be home at the time of the incident. The break-in apparently left neighbors concerned, with Jaslyn Portillo telling ABC 7, “Well, my aunt actually came running to me telling me that Billie Eilish’s house was getting burglarized and we quickly ran over here because we live down the street so we’re pretty worried about what was happening.”

According to Gizmodo, the Grammy-winning singer’s Highland Park home address was leaked to nearly 78,000 people via a push notification from Citizen, an app that allows users to monitor crime and breaking news events in real time. The push was sent out after the police were notified of the incident. On Friday morning, the Citizen app suddenly changed the exact address of the incident and instead opted to only note the cross streets: “The address reported for this incident has changed to Meridian St & N Avenue 57.”

The “Happier Than Ever” singer has not addressed the attempted burglary on social media.
