Autistic Piano Prodigy Gifted Grand Piano In Emotional Video
Jude Kofie is an 11 year old from Aurora, Colorado who is autistic. But don’t fret for him… as a matter of fact it turns out Jude has an incredible gift. He is a piano prodigy.
Just last year, Jude surprised his dad with a “concert” on his electric keyboard. So his dad whipped out the phone to record what he believed would be a cute moment. Instead, his mind was blown. His son was playing incredibly. Had he taken lessons? No, he just taught himself and was playing incredibly well. His father was a musician in Ghana, where the family is from, so he knew an incredible performer when he saw it.
Denver7 did a feature on Jude’s breathtaking performance and the trials and tribulations that led to this moment. Born with low oxygen levels, needing heart surgery and needing a feeding tube. It’s definitely been an uphill climb for Jude, making his story even more incredible.
He inspired viewers of that segment a few months ago, but one viewer in particular was floored.
Enter Bill Magnusson, who elevates this autistic piano prodigy’s game even further
Bill Magnusson is a piano tuner-technician, and he was so floored by Jude’s talent that he wanted to step in and help him reach his full potential. He reached out to the television station and got in contact with the family to offer up a piano. Not just any piano – a grand piano. Bill took money he received from his father’s inheritance and not only bought and serviced the piano, but also got Jude proper piano lessons as well.
“It’s not just for him, it’s for all the people he’s going to touch,” Bill told Denver7. If you haven’t watched both videos, truly do so. It is amazing to see what humanity is capable of in it’s purest form of love.
