Most of us have had dreams and aspirations of being a professional sports star. The roar of the crowd, the glory, and if you’re good enough the cash that goes along with it! Well, Las Vegas Lights FC is opening up the pitch to see what locals are made of.

The team announced they’ll be holding an open tryout and players of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

It’s legit – this is a real tryout that could land you a spot on Las Vegas’ soccer team. Since the team premiered in 2018, they have had nine players that are from Las Vegas on their active roster. They are looking to increase that number and have the stands at Cashman Field cheering for a local favorite!

Players could either receive a contract to play with the Lights, or if you’re 21 or under, receive a contract into the United Soccer League Academy. The academy is an outlet for younger players to perform and show what they are made of. Players that succeed there could see themselves on a pro team in no time.

Where and When?!

The tryouts will take place at Kellogg-Zaher Soccer Complex on January 28th and 29th Players 22 and over will have to fork over a $100 registration fee, while players 21 and younger will have to pay a $50 registration fee. Players offered to enter the pre-season training camp or that get a contract offer will have their registration fee returned. This is done to thin the herd a bit, we’re guessing.

So if you think you have what it takes, grab your cleats and register now! Who knows! We could be seeing your name in “Lights” in no time!
