Nielsen’s Frozen Custard Opening New Parlor Inside Red Rock Casino
If you’ve never had Nielsen’s Frozen Custard… You’re missing out. Big time. Fortunately, if your lack of frozen custard is due to your long distance from Nielsen’s parlor in Henderson, those living towards the west side of the Las Vegas Valley will soon have a new Summerlin location available to them at a much shorter distance.
Red Rock Casino will soon be the home to Nielsen’s Frozen Custard’s second Las Vegas location, with the officially opening for business on Friday, February 3rd at noon. Even better, those who attend the grand opening celebration will have the chance to take advantage of some sweet giveaways… Free ice cream? Say less.
According to News 3, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, owned by husband-and-wife duo, Howard and Amanda Zayon, plans to celebrate the new parlor’s grand opening with various giveaways for customers, including a free cone for the first 100 people in line at the new location on Friday, February 3rd. Attending guests will also have the chance to win some pretty impressive, major prizes, including TVs, iPads, free custard for life, and much more.
The custard chain has been serving the Las Vegas and Utah areas for more than four decades, and it’s no doubt that they’ve found such success with their commitment to using fresh and quality ingredients in their creamy custard.
Nielsen’s Frozen Custard is one of several additions made to Red Rock Casino’s dining options over the past few months. Lotus of Siam recently opened a third location at the resort, and two new seafood-inspired restaurants, Naxos Taverna and Kallisto Oyster Bar at Naxos, are also set to open to the public on Saturday, February 18th.

5 Las Vegas Steakhouses You Should Eat At
Calling all meat-lovers this post is for you. Steakhouses in Las Vegas are serious when it comes to the proteins they’re serving. Customers care about taste, overall restaurant ambiance and price-point.
Whether it’s a date night, an anniversary or maybe you’re celebrating a big birthday… Where you eat is important! The quality of food plays a key factor in one’s overall dining experience.
Steak is a delicacy that has to be cooked to a diner’s preference or it could throw off the entire dinner. Having attentive service is vital in upscale steakhouses.
Many of these restaurants have trained staff that are very helpful in ordering and recommending how you might want your steak cooked. The knowledge is important as many novice steak eaters may not know the difference between medium-rare and medium-well.
The chart ranges below:
- Extra Rare or “Blue”
- Rare
- Medium-Rare
- Medium
- Medium-Well
- Well-Done
Pan-fried and grilled seem to be the two most common ways to cook steak. As a main ingredient in a lot of dishes the temperature that the poultry is cooked in will change the taste.
The information including ratings, price point and hours of operation were gathered for these steakhouses from Tripadvisor.com. Price points vary depending on the plate ordered.
Here’s what to know:
The average atmosphere rated between four to four and half stars. The average price point per plate is around $50 to $100. All of the restaurants listed below ranked under 1,000 out of 3,137 restaurants.
Three out of the five restaurants received Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2022 award. Traveler’ Choice is honored when a restaurant ranked in the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor and are constantly gaining positive reviews.
We wanted to note that Harlo Steakhouse And Bar is a newer steakhouse to Vegas and despite having not many reviews competes with the best.
If you or your loved one is a steak connoisseur or a “meat-lover” these steakhouses might just do the trick!
