As Las Vegas tourism has struggled to reach the year-end massive visitor counts achieved prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of tourists who visited Las Vegas throughout 2022 has been revealed... and it's impressive. Like, pre-pandemic impressive. Prepare for your mind to be blown.
Why is the visitor count so much higher?
Last year was a major year here in Las Vegas, as it was the first full year since 2019 that there were not any COVID-19 restrictions put in place or any cancellations for major events that took place in Sin City. The barriers set by COVID-19 in prior years were brutal to visitor counts throughout the pandemic. Fortunately, major events such as the NHL All-Star Game in February 2022 and the NFL Draft in April 2022 were able to go on without a hitch.
According to News 3, 2022 also marked "the first full calendar year for tradeshows and meetings, which hosted nearly 5 million attendees." This full year of tradeshows and meetings allowed for more than double the amount of visitors traveling to Las Vegas for tradeshows and meetings in 2021, which produced approximately 2.2 million attendees.
What was the official visitor count?
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) revealed on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 that the numbers reported reflect that the Las Vegas Valley welcomed a whopping 38.8 million visitors in 2022. This figure more closely compares to the pre-pandemic visitor counts than the counts of the past couple of years. 38.8 million reflects a 20.5 percent boost over visitor counts of 2021.
Hopefully, Las Vegas will serve an even higher count of visitors in 2023, and with all that the New Year has in store, it's unlikely that 2023 wont deliver a higher figure. Several major openings and events are planned, such as the opening of the MSG Sphere and Fontainebleau Las Vegas (finally), and the massive L’Etape by Tour de France in May and the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in November.
A massive thank you to all who have traveled to Las Vegas to attend various major events, tradeshows, meetings, and, of course, to just have fun!

Las Vegas On The List Of Cheapest Travel Destinations
Well, it's shaping up to be a pretty big year in Las Vegas for visitors from outside of the state. People are coming to our neighborhood for all kinds of reasons. Brand new gaming venues are opening. Music festivals are happening throughout the year. Sporting events are becoming more and more plentiful. And now there's another reason for tourists to put Sin City on their list of places to see. Many travel websites, like Kayak, just released a list of the cheapest places to travel to in 2023. And Las Vegas is on it.
Kayak made the list based on a variety of factors. First was who had the cheapest flights. We know specials are offered all the time on flights to Vegas. Especially these smaller airlines like Frontier, Allegiant and Spirit. I've flown from Vegas to California, Washington, Utah and Montana for very low fares.
The second factor Kayak considered was the price of hotels. Again, we have specials all the time in Las Vegas. And with rewards programs at our casinos, there's a lot of money to be saved on lodging here. Add in our time shares and AirBnbs and you've got a lot of the cheapest options for visitors coming here.
The final considerations Kayak included in their list are which destinations on the web get the most searches. Also travel restrictions and security concerns in each area searched.
So where does Las Vegas land on the list of cheapest places to travel to? We took only the cities in the United States to put on our list. And, thanks to Travel and Leisure, we've gathered the average cost of flight and hotel it takes to travel to each place. Check out where Las Vegas falls on this list of top 13 cheapest places in the United States to travel to in 2023. – Wendy Rush

5 Las Vegas Steakhouses You Should Eat At
Calling all meat-lovers this post is for you. Steakhouses in Las Vegas are serious when it comes to the proteins they're serving. Customers care about taste, overall restaurant ambiance and price-point.
Whether it's a date night, an anniversary or maybe you're celebrating a big birthday... Where you eat is important! The quality of food plays a key factor in one's overall dining experience.
Steak is a delicacy that has to be cooked to a diner's preference or it could throw off the entire dinner. Having attentive service is vital in upscale steakhouses.
Many of these restaurants have trained staff that are very helpful in ordering and recommending how you might want your steak cooked. The knowledge is important as many novice steak eaters may not know the difference between medium-rare and medium-well.
The chart ranges below:
Pan-fried and grilled seem to be the two most common ways to cook steak. As a main ingredient in a lot of dishes the temperature that the poultry is cooked in will change the taste.
The information including ratings, price point and hours of operation were gathered for these steakhouses from Tripadvisor.com. Price points vary depending on the plate ordered.
Here's what to know:
The average atmosphere rated between four to four and half stars. The average price point per plate is around $50 to $100. All of the restaurants listed below ranked under 1,000 out of 3,137 restaurants.
Three out of the five restaurants received Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice 2022 award. Traveler' Choice is honored when a restaurant ranked in the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor and are constantly gaining positive reviews.
We wanted to note that Harlo Steakhouse And Bar is a newer steakhouse to Vegas and despite having not many reviews competes with the best.
If you or your loved one is a steak connoisseur or a "meat-lover" these steakhouses might just do the trick!

Jurassic Quest Crashes Las Vegas With Life-Size Dinosaurs, Rides And Tours
Dinosaur fans... Make your way to The Expo hall at World Market Center for Jurassic Quest! This is the largest traveling exhibit of this kind with unbelievable sights you won't want to miss.
Bring your family up close and personal with sky-scraping dinosaurs, dinosaur-themed rides, artifacts and guided tours. Let your imagination wander as you witness a true to life 60 foot long Spinosaurus and a 80 foot long Apatosaurus.
We can't forget the humongous T-Rex that will also be crashing the party. Tyrannosaurus Rex are one of the most viscous creatures to ever exist on Earth standing anywhere from 12 feet to 20 feet tall. These theropods are known for their three toe'd claws and angry attitudes.
Investigate details about ancient marine mammals who live in the darkest parts of the ocean. Be shocked at the 50 foot long Megalodon which was coined the biggest shark in the world at one point in time. Megalodon means "big tooth" shark. This top predator existed roughly 3+ million years ago and is not one to overlook. It's mouth can open 2.5 to 3.5 meters wide and would consume large fish like whales.
The exhibit also showcases children-friendly activations. Bring your kids to see the dinosaur shows and raptor training experiences. Dino bounce houses and bungee pulls will be on sight. Age and height limits may be enforced. Dinosaur photo-opt opportunities will be available for purchase. Meet Tyson the T-Rex, Cammie the Camarasaurus and Trixie the Triceratops to show all of your friends.
If you love interactive challenges then you'll want to check out The Quest at Jurassic Quest. Use strategy and wit to find 10 clues to win a special reward. May the best explorers win.
Other activities include fossil digs, a fun coloring station, a craft corner and more.
The event takes place March 24 through 26 and tickets can be purchased on their website.
