The Great Debate: Front To Back Or Back To Front?
No not that…it’s about dishes! Have you ever heard of the great debate over the right way to load dishes? It’s a hot-button issue that has been dividing relationships and households for ages! Do you load them front to back or back to front? My husband swears it’s back to front and I’m positive it’s front to back. Who is right?
The front-to-back loading strategy is probably the most common way (I say anyways) of loading dishwashers. You open it and throw the dishes in and the more full it gets the more you have to pull it out. This is the easiest way and most convenient way in my opinion!
On the opposite side of the aisle (my husband’s side) comes the back-to-front loading strategy which my husband claims, heavier items should be placed first because they require more energy and heat for cleaning. He also thinks that it’s easier to load them in the back first so the fuller it gets you are working towards yourself and not away from yourself.
So who’s right?
At the end of the day, there really isn’t a definitive answer as both methods have their pros and cons depending on your particular dishwasher model and layout. No matter who wins this battle between my husband and I, one thing remains to be true, at least they aren’t sitting on the counter or in the sink with a towel thrown over them. So we both will just have to get annoyed at the other’s loading strategy and be thankful they are in the damn dishwasher!
Maybe we will never know who is right but I believe it’s Happy Wife, Happy Life. 😉
