Shark Week launches on the Discovery Channel on July 11th, for the TV event of the summer!
You may be wondering what makes Jason Momoa the perfect choice to host Shark Week. Well, besides his undeniable charisma and rugged good looks, Momoa has made headlines in the past for his love of sharks. He’s even posted photos on Instagram showing off his impressive collection of shark teeth and gushing about his admiration for sharks. So, not only is he really nice to look at, but he’s also got a heart for sharks and the water.
Of course, it’s not all about drooling over Aqua-Man, but for some, it will be. Shark Week always leaves us with a ton of cool fun facts about the lives of sharks and the scientists who study them. This year, like every other year they will explore great white sharks to whale sharks to hammerheads. And with Momoa leading the wave (get it?) you can expect some extra excitement and maybe a little humor thrown in.
One of the highlights of Shark Week 2023 is sure to be Momoa’s own show, “Shark Week in a Weekend”. Where he’ll take viewers on a journey through his favorite moments from past Shark Weeks, as well as share his own experiences with diving with sharks. It’s bound to be an entertaining and informative ride, and we can’t wait to see what Momoa has in store for us.
If you’re a bit of a shark nerd or not, you'll then you’ll be happy to know that Shark Week is going to be one that you will remember even if it is just the muscles of the host.
