Pull The iPhone Away From Your Face
Stop what you’re doing and pull the iPhone away from your face or your iPhone is going to sound off! As technology continues to advance, our dependency on it grows more and more. People spend countless hours on their phones daily, which may lead to numerous health problems, including eye strain. Luckily, Apple is one step ahead of the game, and they’re taking proactive measures to ensure user’s health. Daily Mail reported that Apple is developing a new feature called Screen Distance, which will sound an alert if the user’s iPhone is held too close to their face.
How it works, and why it’s essential
Screen Distance is a new feature that helps reduce digital eye strain and minimizes the risk of myopia, in your kids. The feature works through your iPhone’s TrueDepth camera. The camera detects how far away the user’s face is, and if it’s held closer than 12 inches for too long, it will sound an alert that encourages users to move their device further away from their face.
The Screen Distance feature aims to encourage users to take a break from their phone screens, even if it’s just for a little while. Technology today has become such a huge part of our daily routines, and we tend to overlook the potential harm it may cause. Because of this many people, develop eye strain, headaches, neck pain, and other health issues. By incorporating this feature, Apple is leading the way in promoting healthy technology usage and minimizing health risks associated with technology.
It is essential to prioritize our health with the growing dependency on technology, and Screen Distance is an excellent starting point. Say goodbye to eye strain and take charge of your health with Apple’s Screen Distance feature. Love to see this from Apple. I will make sure it goes on both my kids devices and my own.
