Woman Leaves Her $2.5 Million and Fortune To Her Cats
If there is one thing we all know about cats, it’s that they can be quite demanding when it comes to their wants and needs. But what if someone left their $2.5 million mansion and fortune to seven cats? That’s exactly what the late Nancy Saue did, and the story has been making headlines ever since. Let’s get into the story of how Cleopatra, Goldfinger, Leo, Midnight, Napoleon, Snowball, and Squeaky became the unlikely heirs to their mom’s massive fortune.
Nancy Saue wasn’t just any cat lover. Her love for cats was unmatched, clearly. She named them after some pretty cool icons. In her will, she left her Tampa mansion to her seven cats, complete with an inheritance to care for them. Cleopatra, Goldfinger, Leo, Midnight, Napoleon, Snowball, and Squeaky were supposed to continue living in their mansion after Nancy’s passing.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for these seven sweet cats. The judge handling Nancy’s estate found it unsafe for the cats to live alone in the mansion, (ya don’t say) and because of this, they were put up for adoption. The cats’ inheritance would be used to provide for them as they adjust to their new homes. And then what? I feel bad for Nancy. I think they should give someone a lot of that money and give it to a person that would take all 7 of the cats so they don’t get split up.
Some may see this as a strange and crazy move on Nancy’s part, her love for her cats was something she took seriously. She had even taken measures to ensure they had a comfortable life they had a six-foot-tall treehouse and a cat-friendly rail system around her home. Her will also requested that her cats never be separated from each other, and that they live out the rest of their lives in peace and comfort.
Hopefully, someone makes that happen for her.
We should all aspire to love our pets as passionately as Nancy did and ensure they are well provided for, both during our lives and beyond.
