Las Vegas Brewery Unveils New “Nevada State Flower” Beer

Drive approximately 14 feet in any direction in Southern Nevada and you are bound to see them. Traffic cones and barrels strewn about. Road closures. Lane restrictions. Yes, these pesky buggers are on every road, street and avenue from here to the state line, and one Las Vegas brewery is deciding to pay homage to the unofficial Nevada state flower.

The beer, aptly titled “Nevada State Flower,” is a hazy double IPA that brings together to things we know too well. Never ending traffic delays due to construction in perpetuity, and being driven to drink.

Able Baker Brewing Company obviously lives among us and knows the pain of the daily drive on our highways and surface streets. Their description makes it very clear. “They’re everywhere. Bright orange and seemingly in full bloom year-round,” Able Baker says in the product description. “No matter where you turn, cars from all over are lined up to stare at them. No one is there to maintain them, no one even knows how or why they’re there, or for how long.”

The brewer is known for some pretty creative names for their brews. “DUCK YOU… and the HAZE you rode in on,” “Atomic Duck,” “Cherry Berry BANG! BANG!” and more adorn their to-go beer menu. That’s on top of the nearly three dozen beers they have ready to go on tap.

How can I take a sip of the new Nevada State Flower beer?

If you are interested in taking a sip of the new brew, it will be premiering at their brewery on Monday, July 3rd. They are located at 1510 South Main Street between Utah Ave and Wyoming Ave, just north of The Strat Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. Hopefully there are no detours.

The Price of Beer at Every NFL Stadium In 2021-2022

The 2022 NFL Season is upon us, and if you’re road tripping to a far away stadium, we’re here to help you to plan your beer budget, based on what beer cost at every NFL stadium last season.

Every year, sports business data firm Team Marketing Report releases its NFL Fan Cost Index and they found that the price of beer varies greatly across the stadiums. Statista has really good data on this, too.  And the price of a beer seems to be totally unrelated to how good the team is. For example, a beer at a Jaguars game is double what they charge in Cincinnati at a Bengals game. The Dolphins charge $11 which is why fans might be more inclined to show up drunk. The Washington Commanders probably have no business charging for beer at all. They should make beer free to anyone willing to buy a ticket. And the beer should delivered. With peanuts!

With that: let’s analyze the price of beer at each of the NFL stadiums. Keep in mind that this is what beer cost last season, and there’s a good chance that prices could go up for the upcoming 2022/2023 season.
