I Was Today Years Old When I Found Out…

I was making dinner for my family the other night a good ol’ fashioned American meal. We had grilled chicken, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, salad, and Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. If your family is anything like my family we always have those rolls on hand and they don’t last long. Especially with a teenager in the house. I noticed something the other night that blew me away.

You are supposed to cook the rolls!!!

I know I know – I was shocked too. The package happened to be flipped around on my counter and I saw there were directions on how to prepare the rolls. Bake on 300 for 3-4 minutes. This whole time I thought to ‘prepare’ the rolls you grabbed them out of the package and ate all 12 in one sitting. I am shook. Now that beating said let’s be honest, there is no wrong way to eat Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

After realizing that I have been doing that wrong my entire life I decided to google “I was today years old when I found out” and the things I learned made my day!

  • The last one I had fun with was for iPhone users. If you have an iPhone grab it right now and text another iPhone user “pew pew”. When you do that It will send lasers automatically to the other person’s phone. It’s dumb but also amazing at the same time.

Here’s What You Missed On Aimee+Shawn This Week

It’s another week in the books for Aimee+Shawn, and the last week before class is back in session! Can you believe how fast the summer went?

Shawn’s sons were out of town for a week and when they got back at the airport, he was expecting a hero’s welcome. While his oldest ran into his arms for a sweet moment, his youngest seemed completely against the premise of giving his dad a hug. As a matter of fact, he walked away from the entire family and roamed the baggage return area. Now Shawn has a complex.

Aimee’s doing what she can to save money around the house. Hey, are you planning on throwing out that plastic fork? DON’T! You can put that in the dishwasher. That’s what she does! Yes, seriously.

After a year and a half delay, Shawn got a dental cleaning. At the beginning of every cleaning, his dental hygienist takes his blood pressure. It’s a little bit stressful for Shawn as he suffers from high blood pressure. But something amazing happened… he had a great reading! Practically perfect! Why was this? When Shawn figured it out, he realized he’s going to need a doctor’s note to make that happen more.

We now know why HOAs exist. It’s people like Aimee’s sister. She still has her Christmas tree in the garage waiting for bulk day. Yes, a real tree. How do you pull that onto the sidewalk without being judged?
