The Stink In Paris Las Vegas Bathroom Needed Fire Department
The famous scene of Ace Ventura walking out of the bathroom and uttering the words “do not go in there” was beyond funny. But what happened at Paris Las Vegas was anything but, and Clark County Fire Department had to race to the scene to put out a blaze.
When they arrived, they were met with smoke coming from an access hatch in the wall. Investigators cut a whole in the drywall to get a better look at what was going on. Inside, they found clothing and other materials burning. Who lit the stuff on fire? No one knows.
Thankfully CCFD was able to extinguish what was left of the flames in a matter of moments. While reports say the damage comes up to about $50,000, thankfully no one was hurt.
Paris Las Vegas bathroom fire is one of several blazes at Strip properties
There have been a slew of fires over the years that have made headlines. The biggest of which is most certainly the tragic MGM Grand fire in 1980. Fire tore through the now Horseshoe Las Vegas killing 78 guests and 7 employees. The fire forever changed the city and the fire code in the city which has thankfully made Las Vegas Strip property fires since far more manageable.
In April, that same property had several small fires set inside. Another fire popped up next door at Flamingo and yet another across the street in the bushes at Caesars Palace. In that case, they were all set by the same pair who were on an arson spree throughout the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. While some were treated on the scene, thankfully no one was injured.
The yet to open Fontainebleau had a fire on its roof last month. That caused only slight damage and hurt no one at the property. It’s not even expected to delay their December opening.
And who can forget the fire in the pool area of The Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas. Thankfully Clark County Fire Department is located at the base of the property and were able to put out the fire in no time.
