Why Working for UPS Might Be the Best Decision of Your Life

If you’ve been job searching lately, as a lot of you are, you may have noticed a significant increase in UPS job openings, and there’s a good reason for it. It’s because of the recent contract they secured by its union, the Teamsters. Apply today because it may just be the best decision of your life.

Let’s talk about the pay!

Full-time UPS drivers will now make a huge $170,000 in pay and benefits. That’s right, you read that correctly. And while not all UPS jobs pay that much, starting salaries are still much higher than the national average for similar positions. Plus, with the opportunity for overtime pay and bonuses, your bank account will definitely thank you!

But it’s not all about the money, right? Working at UPS provides stability and security that not all jobs can guarantee. The company has a reputation for being a “lifer” job, meaning that employees stay with the company for years and years, even decades. This has  a lot to do with the exceptional benefits package offered to employees, including health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation time. Wow. We bet you thought that was something of the past, huh?

UPS is also committed to promoting from within. According to UPS, 55% of UPS’s current managers started as hourly employees, and there are countless examples of employees who have climbed the ranks and worked their way up to high-level positions. This means that if you’re willing to put in the work and show dedication, there are opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

But let’s not forget about the actual job itself. Being a UPS driver can be physically demanding, and that much driving in the heat can be hard. Here’s What You Missed On Aimee+Shawn This Week

It’s another week in the books for Aimee+Shawn, and the last week before class is back in session! Can you believe how fast the summer went?

Shawn’s sons were out of town for a week and when they got back at the airport, he was expecting a hero’s welcome. While his oldest ran into his arms for a sweet moment, his youngest seemed completely against the premise of giving his dad a hug. As a matter of fact, he walked away from the entire family and roamed the baggage return area. Now Shawn has a complex.

Aimee’s doing what she can to save money around the house. Hey, are you planning on throwing out that plastic fork? DON’T! You can put that in the dishwasher. That’s what she does! Yes, seriously.

After a year and a half delay, Shawn got a dental cleaning. At the beginning of every cleaning, his dental hygienist takes his blood pressure. It’s a little bit stressful for Shawn as he suffers from high blood pressure. But something amazing happened… he had a great reading! Practically perfect! Why was this? When Shawn figured it out, he realized he’s going to need a doctor’s note to make that happen more.

We now know why HOAs exist. It’s people like Aimee’s sister. She still has her Christmas tree in the garage waiting for bulk day. Yes, a real tree. How do you pull that onto the sidewalk without being judged?
