Jose Canseco had much more success in the big leagues*
Canseco was somewhat of a journeyman in the major leagues, playing for several teams from the Oakland Athletics to the Boston Red Sox. He also won two World Series during his 17 season career.
He was one of many who was wrapped up in the steroid drama in Major League Baseball. He later came out against the drugs and implicated others, including Barry Bonds, in using the performance enhancers.
Are car washes a good business to go into?
So now that Jose is getting out of the business, is it a good one for you to enter? It depends on the price.
While automatic car washes can make anywhere from $100,000-250,000 a year in revenue (before expenses), hand wash and self service car wash locations are bound to make less. A lot of the expense goes into the initial construction, however with an already existing wash like Jose’s, there’s an opportunity to make a difference with new ownership and a new coat of paint and some new equipment.
There are currently several car washes for sale throughout the valley. Some of which are brands you know (WOW we are looking at you). The cost of the locations can range wildly depending on the age of the location, whether it has a car wash, and location.
