When We Were Young Festival Announces Las Vegas ‘Side Shows’
Last year’s When We Were Young was outrageously successful (if it wasn’t for that tragically rained out day). That said, the secondary shows that popped up around the main event were worth their own attention. This year’s festival is fast approaching and sweet new side shows were just announced!
When We Were Young Side Shows will be a sick opening act
We are lucky enough to live in Las Vegas. But for many that plan on coming to town, it’ll be a destination. With people coming from all around the world, potentially a day or two before the main event, why not hold some “opening acts”?
On Thursday, October 19th, Texas based rock band Fit For A King will scream their way into House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay. They’ll be joined by The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts and Landmvrks for the show.
Then Friday, October 20th, you’re going to have an issue figuring out where to go. Three amazing shows are taking over three venues in town. Punk Rock Princesses, Gym Class Heroes and those of you sporting a Fat Lip will have immediate favorites, but the rest of you? Good luck choosing!
- Something Corporate is playing House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay
- All Time Low and Gym Class Heroes are playing Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort
- Sum 41 and Bowling For Soup are bringing their TRL-era rock to Brooklyn Bowl at The LINQ Promenade
There will also be special Emo Night Brooklyn shows at Brooklyn Bowl following each night of When We Were Young. Those shows are promising special guests, and considering the slew of bands in town we are willing to believe them.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 18th at 10am. However When We Were Young Festival ticketholders will get their first shot at a presale on Wednesday, August 16th at 10am.
