Another Las Vegas Strip Property To Charge For Self-Parking
Ah, remember the days when you could park at nearly any property on the Las Vegas Strip free of charge? Those were the good ol’ days. Free parking on the Strip used to be such an easy find. Unfortunately, we continue to venture farther and farther from those days as more and more properties adopt the tactic of charging for parking. A long-time free parking property on Las Vegas Strip has just announced that they will be joining the movement and will start charging for self-parking soon.
And The Property Is…
For those who have always depended on the trusty, free self-parking offered by the Venetian Las Vegas, your days to enjoy this glorious feature are numbered. According to Fox 5, “On August 29, 2023, paid self-parking will go into effect at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for non-registered hotel guests (visitors). Self-parking fees for registered hotel guests will begin on September 5, for those who booked on or after August 24, 2023.”
How Much Are They Charging?
The rates being charged to utilize The Venetian’s self-parking are less than desirable. The Venetian’s website reports that registered hotel guests will be able to utilize their available self-parking any day of the week for $18 a day. If you’re not a registered hotel guest, vehicles will be expected to pay $15 for the first four hours and $18 for a vehicle parked there for four to 24 hours… But those rates only apply on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For a non-hotel guest to park at The Venetian on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the rate will be $23 per day.
How To Avoid Paying
While no one is happy about this unexpected change (except for The Venetian), there are a couple of ways you can get around paying for their self-parking. According to The Venetian’s website, “Grazie® Rewards Premier members and above will receive complimentary self-parking. Grazie Rewards Elite members and above will continue to receive complimentary valet parking.”
If you are a Nevada resident, be sure to bring your valid Nevada I.D. with you when you utilize their self-parking. Those with their Nevada Driver’s License on hand will be able to receive up to three hours of self-parking for free. Just your I.D. at one of The Venetian’s many self-parking kiosks.
