Strangers Things Losing Popularity
It’s been almost 10 years since Netflix’s Stranger Things came crashing into our worlds and making us wonder if maybe we are living in the Upside down world ourselves. Almost a decade? Can you believe that? Season 1 of Stranger Things came out in July of 2016 and we still only have seen 4 seasons in 8 years.
Seasons 1 and 2 were back to back 2016 and 2017. Then we had to wait about 2 years for season 3. Not too bad and not necessarily abnormal for streaming shows. But then they made us wait 3 years between seasons 3 and 4 and now 4 years between season 4 and the final season 5. Do you think that the time between seasons hurts or helps series?
Am I the only one annoyed?
As the consumer I get so annoyed at the lapse in time that we have to wait to see our favorite shows new seasons and forget what I did or watched yesterday let alone what happened in my favorite shows 4 years ago. In all honesty, for me, if I didn’t see how it ended I wouldnt lose sleep and I feel like a lot of people feel the same way that I do. But it keeps doing well every time it releases a new season no matter how much times goes by between seasons. When they release new seasons they get new fans of the show and it’s trending leading up to the release so I guess they know what they are doing.
Stranger Things: The official store, here in Las Vegas continues to gain popularity. I haven’t been to the store yet but everyone I know who has gone says it’s pretty dang cool. It’s an imersive shopping experience and it’s themed around Stranger Things and their awesome set locations. It’s open Monday through Friday from 10a – 9p and Sunday from 10a – 7p. Walk-ins only.
Don’t get me wrong I am going to watch season 5 when it does come out at end of 2025 begining of 2026 (I know… it’s going to be a while, they just started production), but I just wish they would get some pep in their step.
Signed, a person who misses Stranger Things.
