Las Vegas Acts That Soon Won’t Have A Home
In a surprising – yet not very surprising turn of events, one of Las Vegas’s landmarks, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, is set to close its doors and eventually be demolished to make room for a new major league baseball stadium for the Las Vegas A’s. It’s the end of an era for a hotel and casino that has been a fixture on the Strip for decades. With it will go my memories from my bachelorette pool party we had there when they redid the pool.
The closure will not only impact the employees and guests but also the many shows that call the Tropicana home, including America’s Got Talent alumni, magician Murray The Magician. He has been a staple at the Trop for years. His unique show of comedy and magic is always been a hit. And with ticket prices doable for the whole family to go check it out.
In an interview with TMZ, Murray the Magician said that his contract is up in March 2024 so he knew that something was coming, he was just waiting for that “shoe to drop.” He will stay with the Laugh Factory and they are looking to move somewhere else on the Strip. The spot has not been announced yet if it has even been determined.

It’s hard to find a space on the strip when there are well over 50 headliners doing their thing in Casinos and Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip every single night. We hope that every act including “MJ Live” and “Purple Reign” tribute shows finds new homes as well.
The Las Vegas Strip is always changing building and evolving. We are just here for the crazy ride that is Las Vegas. Good luck to all of the employees and shows at the Trop and let’s get ready to welcome MLB to the Las Vegas Valley and Strip.
