Las Vegas Entering ‘John Wick Mode’ With AREA15 Experience
Wow, AREA15. At first we had no idea what it was… then it gave us Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. Then Universal announced a year-long horror expansion to the entertainment district. Well things are about to enter a whole new mode. A “John Wick Mode” if you will.
“The John Wick Experience” is set to open towards the end of 2024 in a massive 12,000 square foot space. Think a mix between an escape room and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. You’ll walk into the Continental Hotel (filled with baddies) and figure out how to beat missions while interacting with the felons that frequent the joint. Interact with them and the world around you and find your way around for what is expected to be a venue filled with action. If you’ve never seen a John Wick flick, here’s a taste. You’re in for a bullet riddled treat…
Oh, you recognize the song? Yeah, the Vegas Golden Knights have been using that track from Le Castle Vania since their inception in 2017.
Who Is Putting This Las Vegas John Wick Experience Together?
The minds behind the experience are a mix of Hollywood and Las Vegas. We are actually pretty pumped about it. Chad Stahelski, a former stuntman turned director and the eye behind John Wick is a part of it, along with Lionsgate.
The experience is being produced by none other than Egan Productions. Sound familiar, Las Vegas? Jason Egan, the man behind the famed Frightdome at Circus Circus is back at. This time instead of scaring you, he’s been tasked with thrilling you. Worth noting, Egan has been working with Lionsgate for a while now, producing SAW Escape and Escape Blair Witch, both of which are Lionsgate films.
Only a few short years ago, AREA15 was a sleepy industrial area. Now it is becoming one of the most engaging entertainment districts in the world! We are here for it.
