Netflix ‘Love Is Blind’ Reunion Takeaway
First of all, I have to say this season of Love is Blind on Netflix was one of my favorite seasons since season 2. Multiple couples came out of the pods engaged and only a few made it to the alter.
But the reunion just aired and I want to talk about my biggest takeaway from the season and the show. The season was one of my favorites just because of the drama to love ratio. I thought that the love was great. 5 couples got engaged but not even half of them made it to the alter. The only two were AD and Clay and Amy and Johnny. Only 1 couple said, “I do”.
The reunion was fun, they brought back people from other seasons who are still together today or who had big announcements to share. There were multiple things that they teased for the reunion but I wasn’t shocked by them at all. Number 1 that I saw is that Clay is sad and has regrets that he messed up things with AD. She was so good with and for him. But he has been going to therapy and seems to be doing well hopefully they get back together in the future they are not dating as of now. Not so breaking news, was Jeremy and Sarah are now/still together – we knew that from a couple of Instagram slips and how they rode off into the sunset at the end of the BBQ episode.
One of the shocking parts for us but something I loved is that Kenneth and Brittnay are not back together in an intimate relationship but they have a deep love for each other and are best friends who talk every day. They even talked about how their relationship would change if they ended up getting into relationships with other people and decided they would figure it out when they got there. I love them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got together in the future.
I love that Jessica and Chelsea are “best friends” outside of the show. There was an opportunity there for them to hate each other be caddy girls but they put it all aside and became friends. Go girls.
Trevor came back on the show and apologized to everyone and admitted that he was in a relationship before heading into the season and in the same relationship when he came out. He mostly apologized to Chelsea because she got so much hate for turning him down. He was basically booted from the stage and I was ok with it because I was Team Trevor the whole season and he fooled us all.
The biggest takeaway I got from this season is that I truly believe this is not just for TV or streaming. The other seasons were questionable for me but I am sold now. It is really true love or heartbreak. This is their real life and real emotions and it’s why I am a big fan of the show.
