UNLV Women Come Up Short; Still An Exciting Tournament
The NCAA Women Basketball Tournament has been nothing short of amazing this year. Arguably the girl’s tournament has been far more exciting than the guy’s this year. While some teams have faced heartbreak some are riding it to the end. This past weekend saw the UNLV women’s basketball team exit the tournament, but we are so proud of what they accomplished this year and it was so fun cheering for them all year. This is just the beginning for UNLV women’s basketball and all sports teams at UNLV.
Las Vegas is always the place to watch March Madness but even more so in 2028 when the Men’s Final Four will be played at Allegiant Stadium.
Though UNLV Lady Rebels fought hard in the tournament and got knocked out in the first round that doesn’t mean we are going to stop watching the girl’s tournament this year because of all of the teams still in, but mostly because of two specific players who are changing the game and the excitement of the game.
March Madness is truly madness!
Caitlin Clark, the dynamic guard from the Iowa Hawkeyes, has taken the tournament by storm again this year with her electrifying play and insane scoring ability. Clark’s ability to come in clutch for her team and her fearless demeanor on the court has made her a standout talent and a fan favorite. Her games are must see T.V. and she plays again tonight at 5 pm on ESPN.
The other standout in the tournament is Angel Reese who plays for the LSU Tigers. They play again this Saturday against a team TBD. Angel is an all around great player but her best moments come on defense. She is scary under the hoop.
Together, Reese and Clark represent the future of women’s basketball, inspiring a new generation of athletes and fans with their remarkable skill and passion for the game. What makes them amazing other than their talent it’s the ability to attract new viewers to the women’s game and being a high school basketball player myself it’s nice to see the hype around women’s sports because it’s important for the women to be seen for their talents.
While we know UNLV Lady Rebs will be back in the dance next year it’s still going to be an exciting NCAA Women’s Tournament. March Madness is must see T.V. this year and every year! Hopefully, your bracket is better than mine.
