A new study is out from Insider Money, via Yahoo! Finance, that looks at some of the best supplements to fight aging, look younger and live longer. In the study, they note, “The anti-aging and longevity market is undergoing a fascinating transformation, driven by personalized approaches, cutting-edge science, and a growing emphasis on evidence-based interventions.” They add, “While caution is warranted, the future holds immense promise for unlocking the secrets of healthy aging and, perhaps, pushing the boundaries of human lifespan.” Of course, this is just one study and one bit of research, so we don’t know for sure if these supplements will give you the fountain of youth. But, it’s interesting to look at what could possibly help with antiaging and living longer. Talk with your doctor before you try anything.

In the top five tally, the No. 5 supplement was Crocin. Insider Money explains that, “Research points towards its anti-cancer capabilities, raising hopes for future therapeutic applications,” due to its anti-inflammatory properties. No. 4 on the list was Carnosine + Beta Alanine, followed by Curcumin at No. 3 and NAC + Glycine at No. 2. So, what’s the No. 1 best supplement for fighting aging and living longer? According to this study, it’s Resveratrol, “a naturally occurring polyphenol found in grapes, berries, and other plant sources, has garnered significant attention for its potential health benefits, including anti-aging properties.” They state that Resveratrol has classic antioxidant properties that help protect cells from the harm caused by oxidative stress. What’s more, a separate study published in the National Library of Medicine notes that, “Resveratrol has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, glucose and lipid regulatory, neuroprotective, and cardiovascular protective effects, therefore, can protect against diverse chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancer, liver diseases, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.”
